No. The natural stone gives it texture and grip. An anti-slip aggregate can be added for slopes or shaded areas.

If the existing tarmac or concrete is sound and level, often yes. If it is cracked or moving, we lay a new base first so the resin lasts.

Very little. An occasional sweep and the odd wash with a hose or a pressure washer on a low setting keeps it looking fresh, and there are no loose stones to top up.

Because resin bound is permeable and drains through the surface, it usually falls outside planning restrictions. We confirm where you stand at the quote stage.

Standard tarmac is black, but a red tint and a decorative tar-and-chip finish are both options. Ask us for samples.

Yes. A block or kerb edge gives the tarmac a defined boundary and a neat finish, and it helps hold the edges firm. We include it wherever you want it.

Not with the right build. Edge restraints, the correct depth and a stabilising grid on slopes keep the stone on the driveway.

Yes. Gravel is permeable, so rainwater soaks through rather than running off, which usually keeps it clear of planning restrictions.

With proper edge restraints and the right depth, very little is lost. A light top-up every few years keeps the coverage even, and we tell you the grade we used so it is easy to match.

Gravel gives the familiar crunch underfoot and under tyres, which many people like as a natural deterrent. The right stone grade over a firm base keeps it comfortable to use.

Well applied to a sound surface, it typically adds around 8 to 10 years of life. We assess whether dressing is right, or whether an area needs resurfacing instead.

Usually yes, in phases. We plan the work around your traffic and access so the site keeps running.

Surface dressing seals and protects a surface that is still sound, at a fraction of the cost. Resurfacing replaces the top layer where the surface has failed. We assess which your site actually needs rather than selling you the bigger job.

That is what it is built for. We set the base depth to the loads it will carry, which is the part most tracks skimp on.

Yes. Poor drainage is usually why a track fails, so we design ditches, culverts and a graded base to move water away and keep the road passable through winter.
